ProSteel 3-D steel detailing software runs within the AutoCAD graphics engine, and has been refined to the point where it can output the critical DSTV files that the Ocean Clipper needs. Since this software only costs $8,000, it is being adopted very rapidly by small-to-medium fabricators around the world for direct-to-CNC-machine applications. It is also much easier to learn for a detailer who is familiar with AutoCAD and the learning curve is much faster. A comparable fully loaded license from the major steel detailing software providers costs between $30,000 and $40,000 per seat.

At the EMO trade show in Germany in September 2005, Ocean Machinery met with several Avenger customers that are detailing very successfully in ProSteel 3-D, and we are happy to report that we have sold more than 20 ProSteel 3-D licenses to our Ocean Avenger Beam Line customers in the USA. This same software exports DSTV files directly to your Ocean Clipper Angle Line.
