Installation and training

How long does it take to install the ocean clipper?

The Ocean Liberator CNC Beam Coping Machine can be installed and operational in your facility less than 3 days after receiving the machine. The machine is simple to install and most of the work is done by the customer prior to the service technician arriving at the customer's facility.

Prior to installing your machine you will need to supply the following

  • Flat and level concrete pad 4" thick (or more)

  • Dry shop air at 90-125 psi

  • Electrical power to run the machine. Note that the Ocean Clipper requires 3-phase 480V power supply. If you do not have 480V power Ocean machinery can supply you with a transformer to convert any 3-phase source voltage including 208/22, 380, 400 and 560V to the native 480V required by the angle line.

  • Optional Cat5 Network Cable for direct downloading of your detailing files to the programming pedestal.

  • Hydraulic oil for the hydraulic system

The machine arrives by standard freight carrier. You, the client, are responsible for offloading the Ocean Clipper from the transport truck and setting up the machine in his facility.

What training is provided for this CNC beam coping machine?

Once you have notified Peddinghaus that ll the pre-installation work has been completed, and you have faxed the Installation Readiness form to Peddinghaus, then the Peddinghaus service technician will travel to your facility and do the final setup and calibration of your machine, and then spend time with your operators taking them through our simple yet thorough training program.

Your operators will receive training in

  • machine setup and adjustment

  • machine maintenance and lubrication

  • fault finding and troubleshooting

  • programming of parts using Peddimat

  • importing of parts using Peddimat

  • How to change our punches and dies

  • how to sharpen your drill bits

What software training do I receive?

The Ocean Clipper uses the industry standard Peddimat software, so importing part programs directly from your steel detailing software to the Ocean Clipper angle lines is a simple process, as long as your steel detailing software supports the DSTV file output standard.

Your installation technician will show you how easy it is to program parts into the Ocean Clipper using the Peddimat software, both at the machine and offline in your office.

You will also be shown how to import CAD detailed files (that support the DSTV format) directly into your machine completely eliminating any possibility of operator error.

We are also able to offer operator training courses and for new operators (and refresher courses for existing operators at the Peddinghaus facility in Bradley Illinois - please call for details and pricing
